With CIM (BVI) examinations coming up in January, we could all use a tip on how to do our best at exams.

One method recently developed to tackle revising for exams is the Pomodoro method: a time management tool that will help you manage your time and maximise your study efforts. It’s simple. Set a timer around the house or on your cell phone for 25 minutes. After you have studied for one 25 minute interval, you will then set the timer for a 5 minute break. Repeat this 4 times, and be amazed at how much you have studied! After the fourth interval, you are allowed a 15 minute break, and then, you repeat from the beginning.  For final exams, this is truly a great measurement of productivity that will help you manage your time efficiently, and allow you to also acknowledge when it’s time to refresh, and take a break. You will be surprised at how well this study trick helps you keep focused, and increase your productivity for when you truly need it most- for finals!
