Striving for quality, not quantity.

The idea of quality over quantity is applicable to many situations in life, and also when it comes to learning. Getting caught up in your studies means, at times, losing focus and feeling overwhelmed at the quantity of information. We are here to remind you that it is not only about spending the longest time revising or writing a project but about filtering information. It is therefore important to always remember that, while studying, we must strive for not just quantity but quality. It is not more important that your assignment contains many words than it is that it contains quality information. With the amount of work we have to do and the hours we need to study on a daily basis, it is understandable that at times the aim of what we are trying to achieve may not be clear. Which is why we always have to remember why we are doing it.

When it comes to our Distance-Learning courses, it is important not to lose focus on the main objective: learning. Although it may be very important to have a competitive edge and strive for the best grades possible, we must remember that we aren’t just memorising material to then forget it once we have sat the exam. You learn what you learn so that you can imbed it into you, and apply it later on in real scenarios at your job. When we are studying only with earning a high score in mind, it is almost as if you’re studying without any real purpose. However, if you study and constantly remind yourself that the quality of your work is what counts the most, you will succeed both in the present with you grades and, what is more important, in your future  job.
